The correct response would have been a second caution of the night to send the full-back down the same path as Lehmann. As it was Sol Campbell got away from Oleguer to head home Thierry Henry's free-kick with power and direction."

We passed the ball well, they're a great team and passed it around well too but we had a couple of chances where if it goes our way they're dead and buried."

Thierry Henry: "I don't know if the referee had a Barcelona shirt on because they kicked me all over the place. Some of his calls were strange. Maybe next time I'll learn how to dive but I'm not a woman, so I want to stay on my feet. I expect the referee to do his job but I don't think he did. In fact, I'd like to have seen a proper referee out there. So many times [Carles] Puyol should have got a yellow card and so many times [Rafael] Márquez came from behind to take my ankles. I have ended with bruises all over my body. I've also been told that their first goal [by Eto'o] was offside. They are already a good team, so if you help them, it is going to be very difficult to beat them."

Michael Robinson: "The worst thing was that Henry called the European Champions women instead of respecting their brilliance. Henry missed a one-on-one that would have made it 2-0. He had the European Cup in his hands but dropped it. No player from Barça would have spoken like that about anyone from Arsenal. It hurts because Henry is a great player. But he's become a little boy."

Thierry Henry: "We have to take it on the chin and make sure we come back even better and hopefully we will be back. We gave more than them, in terms of heart and everything. They had the luck or whatever but we fought hard. I told them in the dressing room, we have nothing to be ashamed of."
