The new rules from the NCAA about athletes’ abilities to make money off of their name, image and likeness are in place on July 1.
That’s led fans on social media to call for Reggie Bush to get his Heisman Trophy back.
The former USC running back was forced to return his Heisman when the NCAA ruled he had received impermissible benefits while with the Trojans. He’s spoken about how he barely had money to cover food and bills while with USC and how extra money he might have gotten would have helped so much.
