PS – here’s a match report from Hannover 1-3 Bayern Munich. Bye!

That’s about it from me. Scroll through the results here. And do pay a visit to the Aston Villa v West Brom MBM after. Thanks for reading. Until next time!

It finished 4-3 to Sevilla at Deportivo in the end. Sidnei scored an own goal to make it 4-2 to Sevilla before Lucas pulled it back to a single goal with a late penalty. Deportivo could not find an equaliser.

It’s finished 2-2 between Wolves and Watford.

2-0 up with 90 minutes on the clock and Derby throw it away – Clayton Donaldson has scored the equaliser. And it’s now full-time.

Oh wow! Birmingham have scored against Derby again to make it 2-2!

Preston have won 2-0 at MK Dons. Wimbledon have scored in the final minute at home to York – 2-1 thanks to Jack Smith. Full-time between Ipswich and Brentford – 1-1 – and Norwich have beaten Millwall 4-1.

Two red cards in the space of a minute or so at Wolves-Watford. Tommy Hoban is sent marching for the visitors, soon followed by Bakary Sako for violent conduct.

Birmingham have pulled one back in injury time at Derby through Paul Caddis from the penalty spot. Tom Ince conceded it.

James Hayter has put Yeovil in front at home to Oldham in the 92nd minute.

FULL-TIME: QPR 1-2 Harry Kane

In Scotland, good to see Cowdenbeath have recovered from their 10 (TEN!)-0 drubbing last week by holding Rangers scoreless. They couldn’t score either, mind.

That looks like that at Loftus Road. Phillips hits a shot from a tight angle right into the welcoming hands of Lloris. A minute of injury time to come.

Morecambe are back in front at Luton – Luke Wilkinson own goal with four minutes left. Morecambe are down to 10 men, too.

Charlton are now in front at Cardiff thanks to a Buyens penalty three minutes from time.

Into injury time at Loftus Road, of which there will be four minutes. Can Spurs hang on under pressure from QPR?

Millwall have pulled one back from the penalty sport against Norwich. Lee Gregory’s consolation makes it 1-4.

… it’s half-cleared. A cross comes back in. That’s cleared and Spurs break through Kane on the left.

QPR corner incoming …

QPR are peppering the Spurs box and Hoilett has just skied a good opportunity.

Luton were 2-0 down against Morecambe at Kenilworth Road but now they are level thanks to Alex Lawless!

The one 3pm game in La Liga is a classic – Deportivo had led through Oriol Riera but a Vitolo double followed up by a Kevin Gameiro put Sevilla into a commanding position. But now Riera has scored against the hosts are looking for an equaliser! Should be a great final 10 minutes.

Tony Watt has equalised for Charlton at Cardiff. And in the Conference, Forest Green are really upsetting the leaders, Barnet, because they now lead 3-1 through Kurtis Guthrie!

QPR have a free-kick, it’s headed back towards Austin at the back-post by Caulker. He shoots and it’s blocked by the hands of Bentaleb. It should be a penalty but Craig Pawson does not give it. Boos ring out. Bentaleb goes down injured.

Can QPR fashion an unlikely comeback? Sandro has pulled one back against his former club with a tidy right-footed finish from the edge of the D which creeps past Lloris to the keeper’s left. Fifteen minutes to play!

Bayern ended up winning 3-1 in the Bundesliga at Hannover, while Wolfsburg lost, so the gap at the top is now 11 points. Borussia Dortmund drew 0-0 at Hamburg, Schalke beat Hoffenheim 3-1 and Werder Bremen won 1-0 at Freiburg.

In the Conference, Forest Green have taken the lead at Barnet.

Preston, whose fans travelled to Milton Keynes on a football special (useless fact, ahoy!), are now 2-0 up at MK Dons thanks to Joe Garner.

Harry Kane has scored again. He’s amazing, isn’t he?! QPR’s back four are almost on halfway, Mason plays it over them. Rio Ferdinand simply cannot be bothered to chase Kane, who rounds Green and slots home. 0-2 and there’s no way back now for Rangers.

Nottingham Forest have taken the lead at home to Middlesbrough through Dexter Blackstock. Preston are in front at MK Dons in League One via Callum Robinson, whose shot came off the post en route.

Updated

Conor Sammon has doubled Rotherham’s lead at Huddersfield. A win will put them nine points clear of the bottom three.

At Loftus Road, Eriksen has curled a free-kick narrowly wide.

Now it’s 4-0 to Norwich at Millwall. This time it’s Jonny Howson, bagging his second of the afternoon. Get those ‘Ollie out!’ banners ready, Millwall fans.

Federico Macheda has given Cardiff the lead at home to Charlton.

Wes Hoolahan eases past three lazy Millwall challenges before rifling past his international team-mate David Forde to make it 3-0 to Norwich. Game over.

Having just mentioned him, Eriksen goes close following Walker’s set-up. Austin (!) is on the line to clear!

Yeovil have levelled in what used to be the Johnson family derby through Joel Grant

Updated

Christian Eriksen must be infuriating for Spurs supporters. He was nowhere to be seen during the first half but since the resumption has been really, really good. How come he cannot do it consistently?

Lewis McGugan has Sheffield Wednesday in front at bottom of the table Blackpool.

Wolves are back in front against Watford. Jack Price with the goal.

Another big chance for Spurs. Eriksen fizzes a low cross in from the right but Chadli cannot stretch enough to get a foot on it six yards from goal.

Derby are heading back to winning ways. Tom Ince, who has been so, so impressive since joining the Rams on loan, scores the second. Struggling to see Birmingham fighting a route back into this.

Leeds are ruining Dave Whelan’s day. Alex Mowatt scores to land Wigan in even more trouble.

Daryl Murphy, the Championship’s top scorer, has missed an absolute sitter at Portman Road. Three or at most four yards out he somehow shoots over. It remains Ipswich 1-1 Brentford.

Christian Eriksen goes so, so close to putting Spurs 2-0 in front with an amazing right-footed striker from about 30 yards. Green dives and the post comes to his rescue. Kane sends the rebound high and wide.

Whistle are peeping up and down the country to signal the start of the second half. Spurs have just restarted at Loftus Road, playing from right to left as we watch it on TV.

And you can get the rest of the half-times and latest scores plus lineups and other stats here.

We’re into the final half an hour of the Bundesliga’s afternoon games and Bayern have just taken the lead at Hannover thanks to a Thomas Müller penalty! To make matters worse for anybody who likes competition, Wolfsburg, who sit in second position eight points behind before kickoff, have just fallen behind at Augsburg. Borussia Dortmund are yet to break the deadlock at Hamburg.

Deportivo v Sevilla is 1-1 at the break in La Liga.

Norwich are now 2-0 up at Millwall thanks to a penalty from Gary Hooper after Alan Dunne brought down Cameron Jerome.

Good save from Green to deny Spurs a second. Kyle Walker was advanced and the ball was worked to him on the right side of the area. He shoots across goal but the QPR goalkeeper is at full stretch to one-handedly save before then smothering the ball. And that’s half-time!

Rotherham are in front at Huddersfield at the stroke of half-time. And Yeovil are behind to Oldham in League 1 of what should have been the Johnson family derby.

QPR are enjoying a decent spell at Loftus Road but still haven’t found a way past Lloris (or the crossbar).

Simon McMahon’s Scotland update:

Ross County continue their hot streak and lead Partick 1-0, while Motherwell are losing by the same score to Kilmarnock. And, in the big one in League Two, rock bottom Montrose are in front against promotion chasing Arbroath!

Norwich, in stunning form in the Championship, are in front at Millwall through a beauty from Jonny Howson.

Updated

Nigel in Toronto has emailed to say Harry Kane is being called Hurrikane on Spanish TV. Back at Loftus Road, Isla has hit the deck in the box after Lloris came off his line to clear a pass. No penalty and it looks like a good call although the QPR player is receiving treatment for what appears to be an ankle injury. He did land awkwardly.

Gary Gardner has levelled for Nottingham Forest at home to Middlesbrough. And in League One, Sheffield United’s promotion hopes are dwindling now Fleetwood are 2-0 up.

And it’s a goal! Guess who?! Yep, Harry Kane. He converts Townsend’s free-kick from about six yards after Green comes off his line but misjudges the flight of the ball to allow the future England striker a chance to finish into the vacated net.

Kane is fouled by Caulker and Spurs have six in the box awaiting the free-kick from the right …

Watford are level at Wolves. Vydra takes a touch and fires a low shot into the net.

Charlie Austin rattles the crossbar! Some trickery from Matt Phillips on the left ends with a neat pass towards Austin who is waiting near the penalty spot. He gets in front of Vertonghen’s half-arsed attempt and sends a ferocious drive off the goalframe.

Middlesbrough have opened the scoring at Dougie Freedman’s resurgent Nottingham Forest. Waiting for confirmation but it appears to be a Michael Mancienne own goal after Grant Leadbitter’s shot.

Peterborough are in front at home to Leyton Orient in League One. Forest Green are level at Barnet through Dale Bennett.

Brentford are level at Portman Road through Jonathan Douglas.

Having lost consecutive away games in their past two fixtures, Derby are in front at Pride Park through Jamie Ward.

Walker has almost had a nightmare at Loftus Road but his blushes have been spared by Hugo Lloris. The defender failed to spot Charlie Austin and his header back towards the goalkeeper was poor. Austin looks like he’s going to put the hosts in front but Lloris saves!

Bundesliga update: Bayern Munich are only drawing with Hannover at the interval after Hiroshi Kiyotake’s opener was cancelled out by Xabi Alonso. Borussia Dortmund are scoreless at Hamburg, Werder Bremen lead at Freiburg and Schalke are winning 2-0 at home to Hoffenheim.

Wolves have taken the lead at home to Watford in the Championship. Afobe, fed by Henry, steers it home.

They are doing some banter in the away end at Loftus Road.

It’s very pleasant in London but Chris Ramsey is still wearing a wool hat at Loftus Road, where Charlie Austin and Kyle Walker are having a bit of a niggle at each other.

I’ve not been to Mansfield, so will reserve judgment on Charles Antaki’s email

The Stags’ manager’s injunction to his players to wash their hands more will do nothing to temper Nottingham folks’ long-held suspicion that Mansfield is a den of iniquity of all sorts. He’d best stay away from Mansfield pubs for a while (but then that’s generally a good idea anyway).

Rochdale lead at Colchester through Rhys Bennett. In the Conference, John Akinde has scored from the penalty spot to put Barnet in front at home to Forest Green and Eastleigh’s Michael Green has scored at Bristol Rovers.

The first goal from the 3pms has come via Jim O’Brien at Coventry who are at home to Port Vale in League One.

Good chance for Harry Kane at Spurs! Walker crosses from the right and the striker arrives at the near post to send a rocket-like header towards goal but Rob Green reacts instantly to make an incredible save.

Match report from Bradford 0-0 Reading for your enjoyment.

Wrexham have beaten Chester 1-0 in the Conference’s early game thanks to Kieron Morriss’s seventh minute goal. Bet that was feisty!

Inside 30 seconds Bobby Zamora has hit the crossbar with a header at Loftus Road.

It’s 3pm and whistles all over the UK are peep-peeping. Let’s go!

It’s finished 0-0 at Valley Parade between Bradford and Reading. What a great advert for the Premier League!

You won’t see any gags here about whether Whelan will mention his broken leg. Oh no. Not from this page.

This is about to happen.

We won’t be forgetting Scotland even if the day’s highlight has been postponed due to a soggy surface. Simon McMahon has emailed in:

Afternoon Alan. It’s Scottish Cup quarter-finals weekend in Scotland, too, and today’s games feature, eh, wait a minute, no-one. Inverness v Raith has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Falkirk beat Queen of the South last night and there are two games tomorrow, Hibs v Berwick and Dundee United v Celtic. Who says the romance of the cup is dead? League action it is then, with Ross County v Partick Thistle and, in League Two, a tasty looking Tayside derby between Montrose and Arbroath.

Mansfield Town are only seven points clear of the League Two drop zone but the manager, Adam Murray, has figured out how to make sure they stay up. “Teaching the lads to wash their hands properly could cut 2% of illness, which might win us three points,” he told BBC Nottingham. All a bit Dave Brailsford, isn’t it?

Teams from Loftus Road!

QPR: Green, Onuoha, Caulker, Ferdinand, Yun, Isla, Sandro, Henry, Austin, Zamora, Phillips. Subs: Hill, Wright-Phillips, McCarthy, Kranjcar, Hoilett, Grego-Cox, Comley.

Tottenham: Lloris, Walker, Dier, Vertonghen, Davies, Mason, Bentaleb, Townsend, Eriksen, Chadli, Kane. Subs: Rose, Soldado, Lamela, Vorm, Dembele, Fazio, Stambouli.

Referee: Mr Craig Pawson

It’s still Bradford 0-0 Reading in the first FA Cup quarter-final. Why not have a read of our MBM before coming back here in time for the 3pms?

Hello friends! The sun is out (in London at least), the funky coloured ball has been put away and the season is getting hot, hot, hot. This is, however, a funny sort of weekend, isn’t it? What with only one Premier League game and an overly-stretched set of FA Cup quarter-finals. Thank whoever you wanna thank for the Football League, then, which will no doubt be providing us with an abundance of talking points to chew through down the pub after.

First of all, though, let’s focus on that solitary Premier League game. Chris Ramsey has not been in charge at QPR a wet week but it is already evident that he speaks very well. Like, very well. Here he is on Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham, where he spent a decade as head of player development, and their London rivals’ talented bunch of young players:

One of the problems we have is there are a lot of run-of-the-mill players who stop English players playing. But their new manager’s come in and, to his credit and without any prompting really, been very brave. Pochettino’s played those he sees are doing the business. It’s surprised me he’s done it at a club that’s so big. What normally happens is a manager has to hit the ground running but what has been a pleasant surprise is his reputation for dealing with young players has been enhanced. Pochettino has done a fantastic job for English football. He is putting people on the bench from the academy and it’s not just tokenism. He thinks they can do a job. We want people to have a chance and be compared favourably with the players who cost a lot of money. Read more from Ramsey here.

How he could do with a win over Harry Kane and co today. We have known for quite some time how dismal QPR are away from home and time is beginning to run out in their fight to stave off relegation. Spurs, on the other hand, looked tired last weekend when bowing out of the Europa League and losing in the League Cup final to Chelsea before bouncing back against Swansea in midweek. Those defeats leaves the race for fourth as their sole objective. With Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal in cup action, can they take advantage and make a statement?

In the Championship, Watford’s trip to Wolves looks very enticing indeed, along with another battle between promotion chasers at Portman Road as Ipswich welcome Brentford. Derby have hit a little blip and will be looking to overcome that at home to Birmingham, while Norwich look a good shout to continue their stunning run of form at a diabolical Millwall. There is, it should be added, a shock result every weekend, but who will spring it today?

Keep your eyes here for all the updates from those games and much, much more from League One (anybody for some MK Dons v Preston?), League Two, and a smorgasbord of continental action. Oh, do feel free to drop me a line or send me a tweet!
