Here is the moment a major house fire left a smoke trail over Galway city.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the blaze in the Westside area on Monday afternoon.
Fire crews battled the inferno in Claremont Park at around 2.30pm on Monday.
Gardai said that nobody appears to have been injured in the incident.
One video of the incident shows a large cloud of smoke billowing across the city.
A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí in Galway were at scene at a house fire in Claremont Park, Co. Galway which was reported to Gardaí at approximately 2.30pm on Monday 16th December, 2019.
"The fire brigade was at scene along with Gardaí.
"No persons were injured in the fire and we have no further details at this time."
