Here is our exclusive CCTV footage which shows a smiling man grabbing a famous shop cat and putting it into a Dublin-reg car before speeding away.
Bagheera is the much-loved and currently missing cat belonging to the Centra at Banbridge on the A1, who was snatched at 7:20pm on Sunday, May 16th, 142km away from the capital.
The shop is a halfway point for motorists between Newry and Lisburn in Northern Ireland, 88 miles away from Dublin.
Our video shows one man with dark hair, who appears to be in his late teens/early twenties, exiting the passenger door of the vehicle and picking up Bagheera from the shop entrance before running back to the car and speeding off.
At least two others were in the back of the car at the time when Bagheera, an all black adult cat whose exact age is unknown, was grabbed.
The cat came to the shop over four years ago and hasn't left since.
Daire from Centra A1 Banbridge told Dublin Live: "We'd like to get him back, he's an important part of the place."
If you recognise the car or have any information that may lead to reuniting Bagheera with his Centra family, contact the Centra A1 Banbridge Facebook page here.
