This is the moment a distressed mother tried to pull as many as five vicious attackers off of her son during a wild assault in West Dublin.
The attack happened at a bus stop outside Blanchardstown Shopping Centre as a bus was trying to pull away.
One of the teen attackers can be seen holding the shrieking mother back as the others descend upon the victim.
He makes a brief getaway before the attackers swarm and get their target on the ground with kicks and punches.
The mother chases over, screaming "What are you doing" at the top of her voice.
It makes little difference to the mob, who are eventually forced back by another group intervening to clear the fracas.
