Fire crews used breathing apparatus while battling the blaze and luckily, the apartment was unoccupied at the time and no one was injured.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí at Tallaght are investigating a fire which occurred in the apartment complex at Glen Na Herona, Tallaght at approximately 22:30, Thursday 4th July 2019.

"The apartment was unoccupied at the time. No other persons were injured.
