Footage shows Rangers fans destroy disabled shelter after goal celebrations get out of control at Kilmarnock

This is the moment Rangers fans destroyed a disabled shelter before storming the pitch to celebrate their side's late winner against Kilmarnock .

The Ibrox team could find themselves in hot water over the incident at Rugby Park this afternoon - as disabled fans were forced to evacuated the shelter and watch the rest of the game pitchside.

Shocking TV footage shows supporters jump onto the roof of the enclosure after Connor Goldson's 91st minute header.

It then gives way, causing fans to fall through the cladding and onto disabled spectators below.

One Kilmarnock fan tweeted: "Rangers fans at Rugby Park jumping on a disabled shelter, collapsing the roof and toppling on to disabled supporters.”

The Record has approached both Police Scotland and Kilmarnock Football Club for a comment.

Today's game saw Rangers beat Kilmarnock 2-1 in their opening game of the season, but the real drama was off the pitch.

Before the game a turnstile problem saw many Rangers fans unable to get inside - and the game kicked off before they could get in.

Reports from the stadium suggested it was Rangers fans who opened the gate from the inside, but neither Police Scotland or Kilmarnock Football Club have confirmed who opened it.

Rangers' supporters liaison officer, Greg Marshall, has urged the Ayrshire club to probe what happened.
