This is the shocking moment a house pet is saved by the police after it was found dangling from the first floor balcony of its home.
American officers from Cleveland, Ohio, arrived at a house to find a dog, Cain, dangling from the upper floor balcony.
Cain had been on a leash on the balcony and jumped over the ledge causing him to dangle by his collar.

He was choking as police arrived.
Officer Michael Phelps helped to save Cain by pushing him upwards to stop the lead from choking the dog.
Phelps can be heard repeatedly telling Cain: "It's okay buddy, it's okay."
His owners can be heard in the background crying over the ordeal.

More officers arrived after about five minutes to help Officer Phelps and they finally free Cain, who was fine.
The dog dropped to the floor and ran away in fear, however, officers later calm him down.
He was later taken in by a local shelter.
