This is the moment a man was arrested following a serious assault at a north Dublin pub this afternoon.
Another man is being treated in hospital after he was seriously injured when he was stabbed while working at the Elphin pub on Baldoyle Road, Sutton at around 1pm.
The victim, who is in his 50s, was raced to Beaumont Hospital after another man entered the pub and attacked him.
The suspected attacker is understood to have formerly worked in the bar but is believed to have struggled with mental health issues in recent times.
It is thought another staff member attempted to intervene as the altercation spilled out into the car park of the pub.
A witness told Dublin Live the victim was "covered in blood" following the attack.
A man in his 30s was arrested after gardai and emergency services raced to the scene.
He is currently being detained at Clontarf garda station.
The victim's injuries have been described as serious but not life-threatening.
Another man in his 30s was taken to hospital for treatment for shock following the incident.
Footage from the scene shows gardai apprehending a man while another man lies on the ground.
A large garda presence remained in the area for a number of hours as the scene was preserved for technical examination with forensic teams working inside and outside the pub.
A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardaí are currently at the scene of a serious assault in Baldoyle, Dublin 13 which occurred at approximately 1pm this afternoon, Wednesday 28th January 2021.
"A male, aged in his 50s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital for treatment, with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
"A male, aged in his 30s, was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained at Clontarf Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
"The scene is currently preserved for a technical examination. Investigations are ongoing."
