Footage shows man filling wheelbarrow with fuel at petrol station to bemused locals shock in Cork

Peculiar footage shows the moment a man filled up a wheelbarrow with fuel at a petrol station before wheeling it down the road in Co Cork.

Bemused locals watched as the man filled up the basin of the wheelbarrow with fuel before wheeling it away.

Some have speculated that the petrol pumping viral sensation may have been pouring the fuel into a can sitting inside the wheelbarrow but out of view of the camera.

The unusual scene took place at a petrol station in Spa Glen, Mallow and was caught on video by a local man.

Martin Mullane, who is heard chuckling as he captured the footage, told CorkBeo.ie he couldn't believe what he saw.

He said: "I was getting my car hoovered out and I see the lad coming in the gate with the wheelbarrow.

"I said, 'Nah, he's not,' but there he was going for the petrol pumps.

"He worked away and that's what happened, so I stuck up the video for a bit of craic."

He told Cork Beo that he believes the man works locally and had bought the fuel for his lawnmower down the road.
