This is the moment a man attempts to flee from arrest as he is chased by several officers and a garda van.
The daring escape attempt took place in Dublin 8 after officers were called to deal with an alleged public order incident last night.
Footage from the scene shows several gardai chase the man on foot while a garda van also attempts to block him off.
One officers falls to the ground during the pursuit before the man turns around and runs back the other direction down the road.
The suspect then evades another officer's desperate attempt to rugby tackle him before running up another street.
Footage of the incident began circulating on social media last night where it was claimed that someone had attempted to steal the garda van.
Dublin Live can confirm that this was not the case and a garda was in charge of the van at all times.
A garda spokeswoman told us the man was later arrested.
She said: "Gardaí responded to a public order incident in Dublin 8 yesterday.
"The suspect resisted arrest and attempted to flee the scene. Gardaí pursued the suspect and arrested him."
