Footage shows gardai searching areas as fears for missing Drogheda teen grow

These videos appear to show gardai carrying out searches of areas in Drogheda last night as fears grow for a missing teen from the town.

Gardai fear a missing teenager was murdered and dismembered in a chilling Narcos-style warning by feuding drug mobs in the area.

It is suspected the human limbs found dumped in a sports bag in a North Dublin housing estate could belong to the 17-year-old from Co Louth who has not been seen in several days.

Sources also say gardai are investigating if the further discovery of more body parts in Drumcondra this morning are linked to the missing teen.

A number of searches were carried out across the town last night, including the Moneymore and Cement Road areas.

In the footage, gardai can be seen carrying out the search of an area.

Separately, gardai and Armed Support Units intercepted an ATM raid in Co Louth in the early hours of this morning.

Photos from the scene showed a digger which has been used in the attempted robbery which destroyed a Bank of Ireland shopfront on Main Street in Dunleer.

The searches come in the wake of a spate of violence among feuding gangs in the area.

On Monday an innocent taxi driver was shot in what was understood to be a botched hit on another target.

John Myles was driving two passengers when a masked shooter attacked him just metres from a garda station on the Bridge of Peace on Monday evening.

Mr Myles was not the intended target of the shooting and he appealed for the local feuding gangs to stop their warfare.
