Footage shows Edinburgh man pulling knife on terrified children at local park

Disturbing footage has emerged of an Edinburgh man pulling a knife on children as young as 12 at a local park.

The thug was captured on camera as he brandished the weapon and threatening children at Lochend Park on Friday evening.

The clip shows a number of kids were at the scene as the man approaches them before pulling a knife out as one girl shouts at him to "stop".

Youngsters can be seen running away from the man before he walks off with the blade still in his hand, reports the Daily Record.

He is wearing dark-colored trousers, a grey zipper and a black hat during the incident.

It is believed the group are aged between 12 and their early teenage years and some can be heard screaming in fear during the course of the video.

Jordan Baillie posted the clip online in a bid to trace the culprit after his friend's son was one of the children at the scene.

In a statement, Edinburgh Police Division said no one had been injured in the chilling incident.

They said: "We are aware of footage being circulated on social media showing a man acting aggressively in possession of a knife at Lochend Park.

"We would like to reassure the public that no-one was injured in that incident and police are following a positive line of inquiry."
