Shocking footage shows the moment a man is decked by a thug in an unprovoked one punch attack before he grabs his phone and runs away.
The video shows the victim standing alone on a street in Dublin city when he is approached by the hooded thug.
The attacker unleashed a punch to his victims face knocking him out and causing him to fall straight back to the ground, Dublin Live reports.
He barely reaches the floor before the thug steals the phone that had dropped out of the man's hand and landed on the ground near the owners feet.
The thug then makes a run for it, as the victim lies still on the cold and hard ground.
It is understood that the attacker is from north Dublin and well-known to some of the victim's friends.
It is believed that some of the friends are on the lookout for the man following the brutal attack.
Irish Mirror also understands that Gardai have launched an investigation into this attack and are looking for any witnesses to come forward.
