Footage shows the moment smoke billowed out of a building after a flat went up in flames.
At 3.54am today (Wednesday, October 26), Merseyside Fire and Rescue were called to Meadowfield Close in Rock Ferry as a fire tore through a flat. A video from the scene shows smoke billowing out of a flat, and filling the street as fire fighters tackled the blaze.
Five fire engines attended the scene, and police were also called to the scene. Two men were taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation related to the incident.

One man, a 25-year-old from Birkenhead was arrested on suspicion of arson and remains in custody.
A joint investigation by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and Merseyside Police into the incident is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
