Armed police were seen on a Wirral street this afternoon after reports of a man with a large machete.
Police confirmed to the ECHO a report was made by a member of the public about a man armed with a large machete on Derby Road in Birkenhead at 3.26pm.
Merseyside Police said a man has been arrested after a video was shared with the ECHO showing armed police arriving at the scene.

The video shows marked police cars arriving at the scene where a man is being dragged up off the road by officers.
He is then pressed against a wall by a group of officers.
Armed police are seen in the video, with one standing to block the alley.
The arrest took place on the corner of Derby Road and Whitfield Street.
