Footage emerges of concerned cops speaking to Brian Harvey outside home before arrest

Footage has emerged of a police officer speaking to Brian Harvey outside his home before he was arrested.

A male police officer asks to speak to Harvey, 44, "bloke to bloke" after the ex East 17 answers the door.

Police were called to his Walthamstow home after a string of videos were uploaded by the star - these have since been deleted.

The concerned officer politely tells Brian:"We are not leaving here without coming in and speaking to you

"Forget all the copper s**t, I’m talking to you man to man."

Scotland Yard said they were called to an address in Walthamstow, east London, on Thursday following reports a man was threatening to harm himself.

Officers performed a welfare check and a man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of sending malicious communications, police said.

Following a physical examination by a doctor where he was deemed fit, Harvey, 44, was taken into police custody.

He did not suffer any injuries, according to police.

It came after Brian's ex-girlfriend Danniella Westbrook posted an urgent appeal tonight after hearing about the worrying livestream video.

The former EastEnders star, 45, who used to date the East 17 singer, tweeted: "I’m in rehab just come out of a aa meeting been hospital all day myself I really hope this is a hoax as if it’s not my heart will be broken...

"Brian is a good good man and if this is true I hope he gets the help he needs ., please dm me...

"Please if anyone has any news on Brian Harvey contact me thanks x my prayers heart and thoughts are with him x I pray his ok x."

Danniella is currently enrolled in a residential rehab program to kick her long-running addiction to cocaine.

She dated Brian from 1991 until 1995 at the height of her soap fame.

Brian has been out of the spotlight for some time, and in 2018 he sparked fears among fans by posting an online video in which he claimed he'd not left the house in five years.

The singer, who's previously been open about his battles with depression, said: "I've been a prisoner in my own home now for about five years.
