Dashcam footage has captured the horrific moment a woman is thrown into the air after being hit by a car at a zebra crossing.
In the video - which you can watch above - the woman can be seen using the pedestrian crossing as surrounding cars start to slow down.
But as she walks across the road, a car on the opposite side of the road fails to stop and hits her.
She is flung into the air due to the force of the car and other drivers can be seen quickly exiting their vehicles to run to her aid.
Lancashire Police has confirmed the woman only suffered minor injuries, Lancashire Live reports.
The incident took place just before 9am on Friday, February 14 in Rawtenstall, Lancashire.
After the collision, the driver of the small silver car continued to head in the direction of Rawtenstall.
The video was recorded by the dashcam of a driving instructor, who wishes to remain anonymous.
Recalling the moment the collision happened, he said he was stationary at the crossing and was on his way to collect a pupil.
He admitted that the incident left him shaken: "I’ve never seen that happen before. I never thought there would be an impact - I was shaken up.
“I’m mad at myself that I didn’t sound my horn.”
He said he later saw an ambulance heading towards the scene, adding: “People from behind me and across the road got out and got her to the side of the road.”
A police spokesman said: “The ambulance service and police attended the scene and the road was closed for a short period. The paramedics gave first aid and confirmed minor injuries to the casualty’s arm and leg.
“The driver was dealt with by way of a fixed penalty ticket for driving without due care and attention.”
