Dramatic footage shows an armed police operation carried out in Liverpool city centre.
More than a dozen firearms officers flooded the area around Beetham Plaza and The Strand wearing helmets and full-body armour.
In scenes which could have been in an action film, a police marksman can also be spotted on top of the Mersey Tunnel ventilation shaft.
More officers can be seen stationed inside a building window overlooking the busy street.
The raid happened at around 3pm on Thursday.
Merseyside Police has confirmed it was not terror-related, though the operation was overseen by the Metropolitan Police and not the Merseyside force.
The Met told the ECHO the officers were in the city to execute a warrant but that no-one was arrested.
The address targeted was not confirmed, nor the nature of the investigation the operation was connected to.
