A taxi driver is in a serious condition in hospital after his taxi was rammed head-on by another car that was "on the wrong side of the road" in a frightening north Dublin collision.
The terrifying crash took place on the Malahide Road, Darndale in the early hours of this morning just after 1am.
Three people, including the driver, were brought to Beaumont Hospital following the collision.
A source told Dublin Live: "The car was coming around on the wrong side of the road when it hit into the taxi."
"The driver was rushed to Beaumont Hospital after the crash and is still said to be in a serious condition but it's luckily not life threatening."
A Garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "We responded to a two vehicle traffic collision shortly after midnight, 27 August on the Malahide Road in Darndale.
"Three people were taken to hospital for treatment of injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening."
