Foodies flocked to Kirkcudbright at the weekend for the town’s annual food festival.
Organised by the Summer Festivities team, a huge variety of local producers did a roaring trade in a giant marquee that was erected in the town centre, with street food and demonstrations also to be savoured.
And the nearby Station House Cookery School was also packed for a number of demos from local chefs and producers.

On Sunday they were joined by celebrity chef Tony Singh who performed to a packed crowd, his cheese and crab samosas going down a storm with fans.
Nick Morris from Station House said: “There were two parts to the weekend. There were the producers at Harbour Square who all did very well. It was all very Covid safe and everyone has said it was a huge success.
“We also had the demonstrations at the cookery school which were about showcasing local produce, such as Gledpark and Sandersons of Senwick.
“We had a local chef, Missie Maxwell, demonstrating on Saturday morning and Yvonne’s Cake Creations doing cupcakes on Sunday afternoon. They were all sold out.
“We also had a light hearted Ready, Steady Cook with two cake makers – Treats, Darling and Saucy Desserts – who cannot cook at all. Myself and another chef were there to give instructions but weren’t able to touch anything.
“On Saunday we had Tony Singh there who was fantastic and again he used local produce.”
