Food safety recall issued for gluten-free bread baking kit over allergy fears

A gluten-free bread baking kit has been recalled over fears it may pose an allergy risk.

The John McCambridge Bread Tin Bakery Gluten Free Kit is being pulled from shelves due to the possible presence of cereals containing gluten.

A notice posted on the Food Safety Authority of Ireland's website read: "McCambridge Ltd. is recalling the above batches of John McCambridge Bread Tin Bakery Gluten Free Bread Kit, due to the possible presence of cereals containing gluten.

"The implicated batches may be unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of gluten."

The affected kits come in a 360g pack size and have best before dates from 01/03/2020 to 17/01/2021 inclusive.
