The curry comes in a 1kg pack size with the following best before dates affected: 22/12/2020, 16/03/2021, 07/05/2021, 23/05/2021, 12/06/2021 and 10/07/2021.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) said: "This may make the implicated batches unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of mustard or celery, or their constituents."

Meanwhile, a second alert was also issued for rice cakes due to the presence of an additive.

Packets of Mong Lee Shang Glutinous Rice Cakes have been withdrawn from sale because they contain the colour erythrosine (E 127).

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland said: "This is an approved food additive which is permitted for use in a restricted number of foods, however, its use is not permitted in this specific type of product.

"The implicated batches are therefore, being withdrawn from sale."

The affected batches have best before dates of 31/08/2020, 30/11/2020, 15/04/2021, 31/05/2021, 15/07/2021 and 30/09/2021.
