Swansea's St Helen's Road is full of multicultural restaurants and takeaways which offer up a taste of some of the finest foods from around the world.
But how did they all fare when the Food Standards Agency came knocking to carry out their hygiene inspections?
Food hygiene ratings are handed to each food place across the country to reflect the standards of food hygiene found on the date of the inspection by the local authority. The food hygiene rating is not a guide to food quality.
The scheme gives businesses a rating from five to zero, which is displayed at their premises and online so you can make more informed choices about where to buy and eat food.
A rating of five means hygiene standards are 'very good', whilst a rating of four means hygiene standards are 'good'.
A three means 'hygiene standards are generally satisfactory', whilst a two means 'some improvements are necessary'.
A one is given to restaurants where 'major improvement is necessary' whilst a zero means 'urgent improvement is required'.
