Foo Fighters 'parachute man' creates instant Leeds Festival 2019 moment as sun sets

Foo Fighters had a little help from a surprise guest to create an instant classic moment at Leeds Festival this evening (August 23).

Dave Grohl & co are headlining the Friday Main Stage this evening - after landing at Leeds Bradford Airport in a private jet.

And a private jet of a different kind was also spotted in the skies above the festival, as the band tore through the hit.

Grohl even paid tribute to the glider from the stage.

Anyone who has been to Leeds Festival in recent years will tell you how rare it is that you get to watch the headliners with such a perfect sunset.

Actually, in 2012, when the Foo Fighters headlined, it was nice weather too.

But that's besides the point, those who are at the festival this year are enjoying a real festival moment.

You can see a full forecast here to see how many other moments we'll have this weekend.

Also during the set so far, the band opened with The Pretender.

And Grohl paid tribute to the man gliding over the main stage during the set, saying: "Let’s hear it for that man in that f*cking parachute thing."

Well put.
