Fontaines DC have announced their biggest London headline show to date.
The Dublin five-piece, who were nominated for the 2019 Mercury Prize last week, will play O2 Academy Brixton on February 25 next year.
It will be the latest touring stop in a busy schedule for the band, who have been playing at multiple festivals across Europe this summer.
They already have a UK tour scheduled for the end of this year, which includes a show at O2 Forum Kentish Town on November 27.
And that’s not all — between the festivals and the UK tour, they will travel across the Atlantic to embark on a journey around the US. Two homecoming shows at Dublin’s Vicar Street are also in the pipeline.
The band have been touted as one of the finest to come out of Ireland in recent years, with the release of the debut album Dogrel in April. With a gloomy, post-punk energy and poetic lyrics, it earned them a nod from the Mercury Prize judges, alongside the likes of Dave, Little Simz and Slowthai.
