Folk rocker Graham Nash puts his cozy Manhattan Beach home up for sale

March 24--Here's another breakup coming from the world of classic rock: Singer-songwriter Graham Nash of The Hollies and Crosby, Stills Nash fame has put his longtime home in the Manhattan Beach Tree Section up for sale at $2.35 million.

Tucked within a privacy fence, the hunter-green-painted two-story retains a timeless and cozy quality. Hardwood floors, beamed ceilings and a wood-burning fireplace done in cobblestone lend a rustic quality to the 1920s home, while double-hung windows and bench window seats brighten the interiors.

Within the main house of 1,320 square feet is a living room, a chandelier-topped eating area, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. An updated kitchen brings a mix of new and old style with stainless steel appliances, butcher-block countertops and a Bertazzoni six-burner stove.

A deck/patio with an ornate tea house sits off the kitchen.

Across the grounds and above the garage, a guest apartment has another two bedrooms and a kitchenette. There's also a finished basement.

Nash stands to make a small mint on the property he bought more than two decades ago. Records show he paid $500,000 for the home in 1991.

Dennis Komick of Vista Sotheby's International Realty holds the listing.

Nash, 74, has twice been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Hollies and the supergroup Crosby, Stills Nash. His sixth studio album, "The Path Tonight," is set for release next month.
