Foden and Bernardo to start - Man City predicted line-up vs Watford

Manchester City will be hoping to quickly get over the disappointment of Saturday's Wembley defeat when they travel back down south to face Watford on Tuesday.

City squandered the chance to retain the FA Cup after they put in a lacklustre performance against Arsenal in the semi-final and were deservedly beaten 2-0 by Mikel Arteta's side.

Now City will return to Premier League action for their final away trip of the season and, although there is nothing to play for, Pep Guardiola will be looking for an immediate response as Real Madrid loom ever closer.

The manager has promised that there will be more changes to the side and said in his pre-match press conference: "We are going to make some changes, some players who played the semi-final are going to play but we are going to play the next two games I will try to let all of them play. We will see."

While Ederson will likely keep his place there could be changes made to the defence in front of him once again. Benjamin Mendy and Eric Garcia could lose their places to Aleks Zinchenko and John Stones, with Aymeric Laporte and Kyle Walker staying in the side.

In midfield Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva could also keep their places but Rodri will likely return in the holding role in place of Ilkay Gundogan.

Finally, in attack, Gabriel Jesus may finally get his long overdue rest with Bernardo Silva stepping in to play as a 'false 9.' Phil Foden could come back into the starting XI on the left while Raheem Sterling keep his spot on the right.

Predicted Man City XI vs Watford: Ederson; Walker, Stones, Laporte, Zinchenko; De Bruyne, Rodri, Silva; Sterling, Bernardo, Foden.

Predicted substitutes: Carson, Cancelo, Garcia, Otamendi, Fernandinho, Gundogan, Doyle, Mahrez, Jesus.
