VIJAYAWADA: After an aerial inspection of the Polavaram project site on Monday, Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy told officials to focus on rehabilitation and resettlement (R&R) of the affected people and to ensure that not a single family was left out of the R&R package.
Instructing officials to have a special officer to monitor rehabilitation work, the CM said that quality of work should not be compromised and resettlement colonies should have all facilities. The officials told the chief minister that of the 90 habitations affected by the project, 48 were now ready for resettlement.
