Police closed off a Liverpool flyover after they were called to concern for safety of a man.
Officers attended the Breeze Hill flyover, in Walton, at around 12.45am and blocked off the road.
A man was brought down from the bridge by police and was detained under the Mental Health Act.

He was then taken to hospital for assessment.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "At around 12.45am this morning (Thursday 16 September) we received a report of a concern for safety for a male on Breeze Hill flyover in Bootle.
"Officers attended and the man was brought down.
"He was detained under the Mental Health Act and taken to hospital for assessment.
"The road was blocked while we dealt with the incident."
