Flyers re-sign Petr Straka

The Flyers signed another restricted free agent Friday.

Winger Petr Straka, 24, signed a one-year, two-way deal and will begin his fourth season in the organization. He scored 19 goals with the AHL's Phantoms last season.

Straka was not recalled by the Flyers last year. The previous season, he played three games with the Flyers and totaled two assists.

Originally selected by Columbus in the second round (55th overall) of the 2010 draft, the Czech Republic native is considered a long shot to earn a spot with the Flyers in training camp. He would earn $650,000 if he plays for the Flyers, and $90,000 if he plays for Lehigh Valley.

The Flyers have two remaining restricted free agents they are trying to sign: forward Brayden Schenn and defenseman Brandon Manning. They signed restricted free agent Nick Cousins on Thursday.
