Flybe plane makes emergency landing at Leeds Bradford Airport

A Flybe plane travelling from Belfast made an emergency landing at Leeds Bradford Airport this morning (Sunday).

The inbound flight, which was scheduled to depart Belfast City Airport at 9am, landed safely on the runway in Yeadon at 10.16am.

Andrew Easby tweeted that 'Mayday' was declared on the plane's approach to the airport due to 'unsafe gear warning'. He broadcast the landing on his live YouTube feed.

Despite claims, the plane did not miss its first approach.

Leeds Bradford Airport confirmed that the warning had been issued and the standard emergency safety procedure was successfully followed. The emergency services attended as part of this response.

The plane landed safely and all passengers disembarked.
