‘Fly high girly’ Tributes pour in for ‘amazing’ young mum-of-three who died in horror crash near Forfar

Tributes have poured in for a young mum-of-three who died in a horror crash near Forfar.

Kelly McGettigan, 29, from Montrose, was killed after an Audi A4 motorcar left the B9134, Brechin to Forfar road, Angus, at about 10.15pm on Saturday night.

A 30-year-old man was treated for minor injuries.

Friends have shared moving tributes for Kelly and her family after the tragedy.

Bebhinn Louise Leslie posted a photo of Kelly on her own page, calling her a “truly amazing woman”.

She wrote: “Honestly can’t believe what iv read today!! My heart goes out to your family!! R.i.p Kelly Mcgettigan you were truly amazing woman specially to your 3 boys. I can’t believe I’ll never get to see your face again!! Fly high girly”.

Many also flocked to the comments of Tayside Police’s statement on Facebook to pay their respects.

Lynn Newton Adi wrote: “Omg I was just speaking to her yesterday. My thoughts are with her family and friends.”

Tiffany Karen Forbes wrote: “Devasting thoughts go to her family and her 3 boys.”

Carla Beattie said: “Rip sweetheart! Another life taken far too soon! Thinking of your boys & family..”

Debbie Dempster wrote: “Rip kelly. Can’t believe what am reading!”

Marion Colville said: “Such a tradegy. Thoughts with her family,especially her kids. RIP.”

And Laura Louise Gardiner-Third wrote: “No way! I can't be reading this.. Rip Kelly we will miss you loads.”

Crash investigators were in attendance and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the fatal smash.

Cops are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or is able to provide any information to contact them on 101, quoting incident number 5512 of April 21.
