'Fly high, big man' Family pay tribute to motorcyclist who died in Rhondda crash

A family has paid tribute to a motorcyclist who died in a crash in the Rhondda on Sunday.

David Pritchard, from Tonypandy, was involved in a single vehicle collision on the B4512 Penrhys Road.

The 27-year-old died despite the best efforts of the emergency services to save him.

"Fly high, big man," the family said in their tribute.

"David was a local delivery driver. He was a funny, loving and a caring man who enjoyed life to the fullest.

"He loved his motorbikes, Formula 1 racing and rugby.

"He was a much loved son, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin. He will be missed dearly by everyone who knew and loved him."

Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the single vehicle collision which occurred at approximately 5.20pm to come forward.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or the green motorcycle in the moments prior to it, should make contact.

They’d also like to hear from anyone who has dash-cam, mobile phone or CCTV footage which could assist the investigation.
