Delhi-NCR is seeing a rise in H1N1 influenza cases, with Delhi alone reporting 1,344 cases so far this season. The number is significantly higher than the 229 H1N1 cases recorded till September last year, according to a TOI report.
The increase is also being noticed at hospitals across the Delhi-NCR region, including Gurgaon and Faridabad, with doctors reporting more patients with fever, cough, sore throat, body aches and other flu-like symptoms.
For parents, the surge is particularly concerning as young children can be more vulnerable to complications from influenza. If a child remains unwell for several days or symptoms keep returning, knowing when to consult a doctor becomes especially important.
