Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul exhibition fight postponed

The exhibition boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and YouTube star Logan Paul has been put on the backburner.

The fight, which was scheduled for Feb. 20, has been postponed, according to Fanmio founder and CEO Solomon Engel, who shared a statement with ESPN.

“After an absolutely tremendous response to the fight announcement, we’re hoping to announce a new date very soon along with some new exciting details,” Engel said.

Online platform Fanmio was set to host the event, which would be streamed on pay-per-view. No reason for the postponement was made available.

Mayweather, who turns 44 later this month, is 50-0 in his professional boxing career. His last official bout was in “The Money Fight” vs. former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor in August 2017. After that, he took part in a December 2018 exhibition vs. Tenshin Nasukawa in Japan.

Paul, 25, has twice fought fellow YouTube creator “KSI,” one bout being an official fight. His younger brother, Jake Paul, recently booked his third professional boxing match against retired former Bellator and ONE welterweight champion Ben Askren.
