Floyd Mayweather names the world’s best MMA fighter – and it’s not Conor McGregor

Floyd Mayweather went to social media to name the man he believes is the best MMA fighter in the world.

And no, it’s not former featherweight and lightweight champion Conor McGregor who he took out in a boxing match two years ago; it’s the only MMA fighter signed to “The Money Team,” Makhmud Muradov.

Mayweather signed the Uzbekistan native, who currently resides in the Czech Republic, to TMT in March of last year. Muradov (22-6) has previously stated his aspirations of one day competing in the UFC.

“I’m very happy, for me big step for my dream, to go to the UFC,” Muradov told EsNews upon signing with Mayweather in 2018.

Muradov has already competed four times in 2019, most recently taking out UFC veteran Wendell Oliveira at Oktagon 13 in July, the Slovenian-based MMA promotion.

Perhaps with Mayweather’s promotional push, we may see Muradov, who’s currently on a 11-fight winning streak in an octagon with a “c” in the near future.
