Floyd Mayweather breaks silence after brawling with Jake Paul

Floyd Mayweather has hit out at Jake Paul for disrespecting him after their row descended into an ugly brawl.

The ring legend was approached by the YouTube star and asked if he wanted to fight Jake on the same night as his brother Logan.

Mayweather engaged before Paul snatched his cap and made for the exit only to be bundled to the ground.

Mayweather was dragged away by his bodyguards as Paul was left to nurse a black eye - and a successful stunt.

The retired fighter was heard screaming, "I'm going to kill that motherf*****" as he was taken into the bowels of the Hard Rock Stadium.

And he later said of the incident: “It’s one thing to sell a fight, and people can say what they want, but one thing no one is going to do, is disrespect me."

Mayweather had been in Miami to promote his exhibition bout with Logan which takes place on June 6.

It will be Mayweather's first outing since his first-round KO of Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasakawa in a similar fight in 2018.

Next month's bout will be held over six rounds and Paul will enjoy a significant height and weight advantage.

That was on show when the pair spoke to the media prior to the brawl which overshadowed the event.

During their face-off, Logan said: "Floyd came out of retirement, just to get re-retired. I’m about to beat the greatest fighter of all time."

Mayweather's last professional fight was his 10th-round stoppage of Conor McGregor in 2017 which took his unblemished record to 50-0.

Logan has fought once as a professional, losing on points to social media rival KSI in a rematch of their earlier white-collar bout.

And the YouTuber admitted the stakes had been raised following his brother's antics.

"This s*** is so personal; this s*** was going to be kind of cute and we were going to put on a good show but now it's going to be a f****** fight, it's going to be a war," he said.

"Floyd looked pretty emotional, he can act cool all he likes on stage but I think my brother is doing my job for me."
