Floyd Mayweather beats up YouTuber ahead of Aaron Chalmers fight

Floyd Mayweather toyed around with YouTuber FaZe Jarvis in the ring in a farcical spar to prepare for his fight with Aaron Chalmers.

Mayweather, 45, hung up his gloves five years ago and has ventured around the world to entertain exhibition bouts for lucrative paydays. 'Money' competed in Japan and Dubai last year, but earned his biggest payday from an exhibition when he fought YouTuber Logan Paul in 2021.

The boxing legend will face TV star Chalmers, best known for his time on the reality show Geordie Shore, on February 25 at The O2 arena. Mayweather recently sparred Jarvis to prepare for the fight next month, but in a bizarre training session he clowned around the ring whilst beating up the YouTuber with ease.

Mayweather posted four rounds of the sparring footage to his Instagram, most of which included the former five-weight champion dancing around the ring whilst making high-pitched noises as Jarvis tried to land punches. 'Money' even boasted he could go 100 rounds in one of the clips, barely breaking a sweat as he lands on Jarvis with ease whilst keeping out of range.

It's no surprise that Mayweather made easy work of Jarvis, as the 21-year-old has just one fight under his belt. Jarvis knocked out fellow influencer Michael Le in the first round at Creator Clash in June 2021 and hasn't competed since. The YouTuber recently signed a deal with Kingpyn Boxing and will compete in their upcoming tournament against fellow content creators.

Mayweather's last fight took place against YouTuber Deji, the brother of KSI, as he stopped the Brit in the sixth round of their exhibition fight in Dubai. Deji left Mayweather with a black eye after the fight, something that many former world champions were unable to do when they fought Mayweather on the road to his legendary 50-fight unbeaten run.

Geordie Shore star Chalmers made his boxing debut last June as he defeated journeyman Alexander Zeledon. The 35-year-old trains under well-respected coach Adam Booth and alongside the likes of Olympic bronze medalist Michael Conlan. Mayweather will be fighting on UK soil for the first time in his fighting career when he faces Chalmers, but the boxer is well known to fans on this side of the pond due to his past fights with Ricky Hatton and Conor McGregor.
