Floyd Mayweather announced a return to boxing to fight Logan Paul for some reason

Last week, the boxing world was treated to an actual professional boxing match between YouTuber Jake Paul and former NBA guard Nate Robinson. That fight ended in Robinson losing by way of a brutal, second-round knockout.

And while Jake Paul challenged UFC legend Conor McGregor for his next fight, the *other* Paul has apparently secured a stunning bout of his own.

On Sunday, Floyd Mayweather Jr. announced on Twitter that he would make a return to the ring to fight Logan Paul on Feb. 20, promoting the fight as an exhibition. Like, this is a thing that I guess is going to happen.

Like his brother, Logan does have professional boxing experience — if you can call it that. He lost by split decision in his lone professional fight against fellow YouTuber KSI. Their first fight — an amateur bout — ended in a draw.

On one hand, it’s hard to imagine why Mayweather would agree to this fight. Logan Paul isn’t a boxer despite having a considerable height and weight advantage. Even at age 43, Mayweather should be able to make easy work of this fight because, well, he’s one of the all-time greats and Logan is a dude on YouTube.

On the other hand, it’s a quick pay day for Mayweather that won’t impact his pro record. So, we get it. He likes money.

Boxing fans universally agreed that Logan Paul doesn’t stand a chance because he, in fact, doesn’t stand a chance.

Yeah, this fight won’t be a long one.
