Nemophila flowers have dyed the face of a hill at the Hitachi Seaside Park in Hitachinaka, Ibaraki Prefecture, a bright blue.
While the park is currently closed in an effort to prevent further spread of the new coronavirus, images of the beautiful scenery are posted daily on the park's homepage and social media accounts.
Miharashi no Oka Hill, located within the park, has roughly 5.3 million flowers in full bloom. Due to the mild winter, the full bloom period for this year came about two weeks earlier than usual. Staff at the park continue to weed the area and water the trees. Akira Ozawa, an employee of the management center said, "It's a pity that the park is closed, but I hope that people will enjoy looking at our beautiful pictures in their own homes."
