Friends and family of an 11-year-old girl who died suddenly at a house in Leeds have left floral tributes and emotional messages in Seacroft.
The girl, named locally as Grace, was taken to hospital in a critical condition from a property on Stanks Drive, Swarcliffe, on Wednesday (November 25). She was sadly pronounced dead the following morning.
Grace's school, Boston Spa Academy, penned an open letter to the "much-loved and popular Year 7 student" in the days after her death.
And now her friends have paid their respects by tying flowers and cards to a lamppost on Boggart Hill Drive, two miles from where the incident took place.
A handwritten card says: "An angel in the book of life wrote down your date of birth and whispered as she closed the book 'Too beautiful for this Earth'.
"Forever in our hearts."
Another card from Grace's "best friend" says: "I miss you loads. The news is so devastating.
"I wish that I could have said goodbye. We will always be best friends, no matter what happens.
"You will always be in my heart. You're a star. You're an angel.
"Fly high beautiful soul. I hope you settle in well in heaven."
Ballons, stuffed toys and chocolate bars have also been left alongside the written tributes at the junction of Boggart Hill Drive and Kentmere Avenue, Seacroft.
West Yorkshire Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious.
