A nationwide florist has launched large fruit and vegetable boxes and has cancelled delivery costs.
As supermarkets continue to experience high demand for delivery slots many people are turning to alternative ways to get their essentials during lockdown.
Morrisons and Marks and Spencer have both launched essentials boxes for customers but many people have been frustrated with long waits for delivery and limited stock.
To help with demand Appleyard Flowers has launched fruit and vegetable boxes weighing in at 8kg to 12kg and is delivering them weekly to homes without a delivery charge.
The florist says a fruit box, filled with seasonal fruit, will cost £21. Meanwhile, a vegetable box will cost £23 and can be delivered weekly to homes.
It says the boxes are: "A delicious selection of fresh, seasonal fruit and vegetables from New Forest farmers. Perfect for stocking up your cupboards & experimenting with new recipes."
It is also delivering hampers filled with family cupboard essentials from £31. The family hamper includes biscuits, chocolates, soup, pies, meat and other food, while larger hampers up to £72 are available.
The London-based florist says deliveries are available across the UK and you can order here.
Appleyard Flowers is not the only company helping to ease the burden on supermarkets.
