Why UT Martin Will Win
Can the Skyhawks possibly keep the momentum going after scoring 28 second half points to roll past Northwestern State?
UT Martin struggled to keep the chains moving, but they came up with the explosive plays to pull off the 42-20 win to overcome a rough day from the secondary. There might not have been many sustained drives, but the offense didn’t need them.
To keep this from turning into a total wipeout, the Skyhawks need Florida to be as sloppy and as mistake-prone as it was in the opener against Miami. If the Gators are looking ahead to Kentucky, there’s a chance UTM can stay in this – at least for a little bit.
Why Florida Will Win
Be shocked if the UT Martin offense works at all.
The passing attack went next to nowhere against Northwestern State – at least other than a few big plays – and it’s about to have a nasty time against the Gator defense that had a rough day against Miami, at least when it came to tackling.
Feleipe Franks and the Gator offense wasn’t sharp enough, and that’s what this week is for. There wasn’t any running game against the Canes, and Franks played like it was Week 0. The team needs this game to focus before the SEC opener – it’s not going to take this lightly, at least for a half.

What’s Going To Happen
Florida is paying UT Martin $500,000 for a scrimmage, and it needs it.
Expect the Gators to get touchdowns on their first few drives, look for the running game to get rolling from the start, and expect Franks to be just fine as he pushes the ball deep without any worries.
