ORLANDO, Fla. _ Deputies arrested an 18-year-old girl over the weekend after hosting a party selling alcohol to minors, according to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.
Kendall Rose Morgan, Palm Coast, was taken Sunday morning to Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility and faces charges of contributing to child delinquency, hosting an open partying serving narcotics and a violation of probation misdemeanor, according to FCSO.
Deputies received a tip last week about a homecoming after party that would be serving minors on Oct. 19.
They were also given a flyer circulating social media promoting the party: "Kendall's HOCO After Party" which advertised $2 shots and $4 mixed drinks.
The flyer also suggested it would be the "Littest Homecoming After Pary," and that attendees should bring their own "weed" and "booze."
Deputies arrived at the flyer's listed address just after midnight on Oct. 20 and found a small crowd outside. Deputies then spoke with Morgan who told them her grandmother was home but sleeping inside, FCSO said.
When the grandmother was awakened, she asked deputies to shut down the party.
Morgan denied hosting the party and serving alcohol to minors until deputies provided the flyer from social media.
Morgan was then placed under arrest.
"We will not tolerate adults contributing to the delinquency of children and promoting underage drinking. If you do, you will go to jail," Sheriff Rick Staly said. "The party was scheduled from 11 pm until whenever, but it was promptly shut down at 12:08 am. Nothing good occurs when minors, alcohol, 'weed' and adults mix. "
