ORLANDO, Fla. _ A woman was trapped overnight in an SUV that was half-underwater after she accidentally drove down a boat ramp and into a bay in Venice, Fla.
The accident happened at about 10 p.m. Wednesday at the Higel Boat Ramp into Roberts Bay, and she remained there until early the next morning.
A kayaker going out for a morning paddle found her early Thursday, the Venice Police Department said.
He called 911 and was able to rescue her.
"Both the driver and citizen hero are in stable condition," police said.
