Florida State comes to a decision on head coach Willie Taggart

The Florida State Seminoles (4-5) have come to a decision on head coach Willie Taggart. After just 21 games, the second-year coach will no longer be a part of the Seminoles’ program, following Saturday’s 17-point home loss to Miami.

Taggart was hired at the end of 2017, with the departure of Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher, but is now on his way out of Tallahassee, with an $18 million buyout coming his way.

As crazy as it seems, this move was essentially mandatory, after all of the struggles surrounding FSU’s football program.

“We had no choice,” said Athletic Director David Coburn.

The ‘Noles will now be looking for a new coach, while handcuffed from opening up the bank again. As big of a disaster as it is in Tallahassee right now, things can only go up from here.

Talk about a mid-Sunday news dump. Geesh. This ought to make Gator fans a bit happier after Saturday.
