Florida's Brightline train will now be available in Orlando

Flying isn’t the only way to get from point A to point B. In fact, if you’ve got the time, the wide windows and scenic routes along the railroad make for a delightful alternative to those who aren’t so keen to travel up in the air.

Florida is a massive tourist destination. Between Disney (DIS) -) and Universal Studios (CMCSA) -) theme parks, beaches, and other major tourist draws, the Sunshine State sees a great deal of traffic. In 2022, the state welcomed an estimated 137.6 million visitors. And now Florida’s Brightline train is making it easier than ever for those guests to visit multiple cities.

Brightline currently has lines that connect across Florida’s most popular cities, including Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach. And now, riders can book tickets for Brightline’s newest destination, the city of Orlando.

More in travel:

The new station will be conveniently located at the Orlando International Airport. Service starts on Sept. 22. Travelers looking to experience multiple Florida destinations can depend on the line to cut down on several hours of drive time between cities. Trips are now open for booking just in time for the holiday season.

“Opening Orlando fulfills our ultimate business model. We have seen incredible enthusiasm from the business and tourism industries eager to travel between Central and South Florida,” Brightline President Patrick Goddard said in a statement. “As we start service to Orlando for peak holiday seasons, I encourage everyone to check calendars, make plans, visit our website or app and reserve a seat now.”
