Florida police release footage showing the moment gun shots were fired at ZombiCon festival

Fort Myers Police Department have released mobile phone footage showing the moment gun shots were fired at ZombiCon festival in an attempt to find out more information. One person was killed and five others injured.

The mobile footage shows revellers walking down the street before four gun shots can be heard, leading to crowds sprinting away from the incident.

Authorities released a description of the suspect on Monday, saying they are looking for a white or possibly Hispanic male in his lateens or early twenties who was wearing a black t-shirt and a black and red baseball cap.

The murder victim has been named as Expavious Tyrell Taylor, 20, who was pronounced dead on Saturday evening.

Fort Myers Mayor Randy Henderson spoke about Mr Taylor’s death on Sunday.

“On behalf of myself and Council I want to express profound sadness and condolences to the family Mr. Taylor.”

“We pray for all involved in this senseless act of violence. I want to reaffirm our commitment to reign in these criminals and assure all citizens of law enforcement's relentless pursuit of the perpetrators.”

“With the aid of alert citizens and cameras we remain confident in capturing and bringing to justice, those who have attacked our citizens.”

ZombiCon is an annual outdoor event in Fort Myers hosted by non-profit arts group Pushing Daizies.
